Driver Profile: Andrew Coley

APCsport's Andrew Coley is an unlikely rally driver; nobody from either side of his family has any motoring connections or history in the sport. Regardless of this, indeed against the odds because of it, Andrew's rapid rise through the ranks has been a result of hard work and talent behind the wheel. 	Career Highlights:
	2007-2008: Andrew Coley and co-driver Dan Pearce return to competition in the UK. After a break of 5 years from the UK's forests, in a new car and with no testing, they immediately reach the top of the podium at national level. See the news page for details.
	2005: Andrew is selected from 200 European entries by the French MSA to represent the UK in the international Dakar Challenge competition, with a prize of a drive with NISMO on the 2006 Dakar. Andrew and co-driver Dan Pearce impressively beat JWRC regulars (among others!) to finish a close second to an FIA B seeded Scandinavian...see Dakar news story for more details.
	2004: World Rally Champion Martin Rowe assesses Andrew's skills behind the wheel of a 'works' specification Subaru Impreza. The UK Motorsport Association's magazine (left) covers the entire days' events, so the pressure is on. It's Andrew's first time in a four wheel drive turbo charged car, and he doesn't disappoint. Rowe's verdict? "Andrew did a great job today. The conditions were difficult, but he coped well. He showed he could get to grips with the car in a very short space of time. The last run went really well, I feel he has achieved a great deal today." Click the magazine for the full story
	2001: International Rally Team 22 Motorsport sign Andrew up after his rapid performances and award nominations the previous season. In his first season competing on gravel forest roads, which is also his first at national level, Andrew claims an outstanding 2nd in class. Click the picture, left, for the full 2001 report
	2000: Funds were beginning to run out, but the results were still on the increase. Andrew was selected by the Motor Sport Association for the 'Fit to be Champion' scholarship, and entered the Roger Clark Award for future champions. He so impressed the awards' co-ordinator, that he was recommended to 22 Motorsport for 2001. Click the MSA logo for the 2000 season report
